It will also be released sometime in 2023.Īnother game from the PS VR2 showcase, Journey to Foundation is a sci-fi game where players explore a spaceship. The enemies in Synapse are all connected by ropes, and seem to be not quite human. It’s a very fast-paced game, with a limited colour scheme very reminiscent of Superhot. One of the more interesting games to feature in the PS VR2 showcase, Synapse is a first-person shooter with supernatural themes. Like The Foglands, there’s no set release date beyond just 2023. Ugh.Players will be gathering resources, crafting items, and trying to escape the looming threat on the island. Viewing the tweet at first, there were dozens of congratulations from the writer's peers which were really nice to see but that happiness is getting blocked out by hate. Everyone is welcome to not like something and express that but how quickly it turns to shaming is disgusting. It is really sad though that her twitter is now protected and that the game is getting so much hate. I'm wary of games like that in the first place (hello persona) and I'm afraid that another line could be crossed? I feel so confused. But it's set in high school and about love. I believe the writer has good intentions, and can bring a great voice in a game like this alongside others who can properly bring this game to life. I read more of the author's articles on the guardian/kotaku, and sure, some can come off as click baity "hey look sex games" stuff, there is meaningful discussion in quite a few about sexuality (something I'm not comfortable reading/discussing) and queer games. A line was crossed, this isn't like her overwatch article with nsfw images of adult characters. It was basically a transcript of underage video game porn with no meaningful discussion/commentary and the inclusion of the images (thankfully removed) made it even worse. To get my thoughts out of the way, I think it was gross, immoral, and trashy. I'm feeling conflicted about my interest in the game after *that* article by the writer on kotaku was brought up. Didn't know where else to put what I've been thinking, so here goes.
